Annual Foreclosure Report, Affordable Loan Product Directory, Rehab & Repair Program Directory and Down Payment Resource Tool among the free resources available.

Annual Foreclosure Report

Did you know the Minnesota Homeownership Center compiles an annual list of all foreclosure Sheriff’s Sales in each of Minnesota’s 87 different counties? This valuable resource provides policymakers and other community leaders with the most up-to-date Minnesota foreclosure data as they design solutions to address foreclosures and their impact on Minnesota communities. These reports have been compiled annually since 2007. The report for 2018 is available here.

Affordable Loan Product Directory

Another valuable resource compiled by the Center is the Affordable Loan and Loan Program Matrix. Intended to inform homeownership advisors and industry professionals about affordable loans and programs available to their customers, the directory features up-to-date information on loans and programs with flexible underwriting guidelines that allow for higher Loan-to-Value limits and lower buyer investment. Most also require homebuyer education and/or advising. The most recent version of this directory is available here, and an updated directory will be published later this spring.

Rehab & Repair Program Directory

For those assisting individuals who already own their home, the Center maintains a Home Rehab and Repair Program Matrix. This tool organizes available programs by geographic location (statewide, county specific and city specific). Programs include emergency repair, energy efficiency, lead hazard, and general repair. Some funds are grants and others are loans, usually with below-market interest rates. Most funds have income limit requirements. The most recent version of this directory is available here.

Down Payment Resource Tool

Finally, the Center makes available on its website a Down Payment Resource tool to help determine the various down payment programs an individual may qualify for based on geography, demographics and personal circumstances. The tool is available here.

And Don’t Forget…

If you are a realtor or lender, you can use the other tools on our website to search for upcoming Homestretch education classes and connections with Homeownership Advisors. These are great options for clients who may need to do some additional work before being ready to purchase a home.
